Peel, chopped onion and fry them golden brown in a little oil, so that they curl up at the edges and keep aside
Fry red chilies, mustard, urad dal and hing powder in a little oil until the dal turns brown and keep aside
Grind the roasted chilies and tamarind into a smooth paste:add the fried onion also(as above)and grind into a smooth paste:finally, add mustard and urad dal to this paste, grind lightly and serve
