Kanji ke Vade is one of the special snacks prepared on Holi festival.

Make :

Nutritional Value(per Serving):
Carbohydrates	37 g	Fats	20 g
Protiens	15 g	Energy	395 kcal

Ingredients:

250 Urad dal (black gram)

1 tsp finely ground mustard seeds

1/2 tsp Red chilli powder

Ľ tsp Asafoetida

Aashirvaad Salt to taste

Oil to fry

Whole red chillies

Process:

Soak dal overnight

Grind to make fine paste

Whisk the paste up and in a vessel so that it turns fluffy

Heat oil in a frying pan

Use a wet cloth or banana leaf, put a small quantity of paste on it and flatten it

Shape it into one inch vada

Let it slide one by one into the hot oil

Deep fry the vadas till golden brown

Heat a griddle and put hing on it

Take an earthen pot and turn it upside down on the griddle as soon as the asafoetida starts emitting an aroma

Take it off after some time and fill it with warm water

Mix red chili powder, mustard seeds, whole red chilies, and Aashirvaad Aashirvaad Salt into the water

Put the vadas into the pot

Cover with a muslin cloth and tie it

Keep this pot in the sun during daytime for 8 days
