A popular Manglorean dish of Avro or bean seeds which is served with piping hot rice.

Ingredients:

50 g Beans seed(avro)

200g tender jackfruit(Cut into 1” pieces)

2 tbsp oil

5 cloves of garlic

50g grated coconut

5 large roasted chillies

1 tbsp

tamarind pulp

Process:

Soak avro overnight and boil till soft and cook the tender jackfruit till soft

Grind coconut, chillies and tamarind to a smooth paste

Heat oil in a kadai, add crushed pods sauté for 1 min

Add the coconut –chilli paste followed by 200ml water

Bring it to boil and then cook on simmer flame for 5 minutes

Serve with hot rice
